We can worship our workout, or we can use our workout to worship. We can enjoy movement and rejoice in the unique body He's given us, or we can make our body an idol, seeking worldly perfection, beauty, and a sculpted physique. Do you live as a slave to your workout, and fear what missing a day will do? Feel like you need to skip a meal if you missed it? I used to live in these chains, and I PRAISE God for freedom! Movement is a gift...it shouldn't leave us in bondage. Your body is a gift, but it shouldn't be an idol. For you (and your sister) little one. I hope I can be an example of health and self acceptance and love, and faith by doing this. You're the best little cheer leader when I do my workouts or reach a new weight goal. I try to explain in a way that you can understand why I'm doing this. Not to simply "be skinnier" but to be healthier, to honor God with my body, to learn to love the body He gave me, and to show you that hard work, dedication and faith in Him pays off!

Tuna Stuffed Capsicums are my favourite @sallybrouwerfitness recipe! Super easy to make, easy to prep during meal prep on the weekends and SO good 👌🏼 I've had some struggles this week over food, food is not the enemy, the enemy is the enemy. I had been strictly paleo for 5 and 1/2 years, so when I was still experiencing the same symptoms 5 years later I decided it was time to try something else. I prayed for direction, for healing, and direction took me to eating whole, clean foods and throwing away 'food rules'. This was so hard mentally because I felt like I wasn't eating 'healthy' if I wasn't eating a paleo diet....how absurd is that?! Really?! I had prided (hear that word "pride") myself on how strict my eating was that I couldn't see there is freedom and healing available to me if I drop the rules and accept the grace and love. Thanks to some straight talking, and a whole lotta honesty, I'm walking in freedom and my healing is happening day by day. Keep it simple, keep it clean, keep it real.
FLUCTUATIONS....Now let's not get all excited about this figure as it's NOT accurate....I'm simply using it as an example as to how weight can fluctuate due to 'variables'....I DON'T weigh myself very day....After a LIFETIME of being held to ransom by these bloody things I generally prefer to go on how my clothes are fitting & weigh myself just once a week....Anyhoo....When I got up this morning & weighed myself I was 78kg on the dot & then I went to the gym for my cardio session where I burned off 446 calories scaling my mountain....I sweat HEAPS during cardio & was curious to see how much fluid I lose during a climb so when I arrived home I popped back on the scale to check it out....600g (1.3lb)....Needless to say it should have balanced itself out again as I've consumed 1lt water since then....SO....The moral of the story is while it's OK to use the scales as a gauge, RIDONC fluctuations occur so don't let the number you see MESS with your head....If your nutrition is GOOD....Stable & MODERATE & you are MOVING....The weight will come off....!!!!! #svjturningthingsaround#dontrelyonthescales#slowlybutsurely#mybodyisatemple
