I was too tired to do a #fridayreads video this week, so here is a mini update. Finished: I'll Be Damned:How My Young and Restless Life Led Me To America's #1 Daytime Drama by Eric Braeden. I really enjoyed this one, as someone who has watched Y&R it was hard to resist hearing what the man who plays Victor Newman has to say. It's very well written, he has a lot of insight, a lot of compassion and a big love of sports. I'm happy I picked this one up. Started: Trade Me by Courtney Milan. Contemporary romance, about two students from different backgrounds and means who decide to trade places. Loving this one so far. Re-reading: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. This was my first #tbr Jar pick back in April but I was waiting to finish another fantasy book before diving in. This is urban fantasy, and I absolutely love this genre. Enjoying the book more than expected during this re-read. Continuing The Stand and The Light Between Oceans. Both going well. What are you #reading this week?
One Word is a website that gives you 60 seconds to write about a random word they prompt you with. This week's #oneword is: ⠀ ⠀ Balloons.⠀ ⠀ It all comes down to those pretty balloons floating up to the sky, away from you. That’s your life. Those are your memories. It’s the love you lost and the friend who left. It’s the happiness that is now gone. In that bright little round package is everything from those moments and everything related to it. Doesn’t it look pretty? Isn’t it tempting to tie it around your wrist and strum it around? But, even balloons have their weight, and if there is one thing I learned from when I was little it’s that sometimes you must let them go. ⠀ ⠀
